- 01State of the mod ecosystem (October 2026)We recounted all 1,919 entries in the community catalog. Tables cover the dates mods flooded in, how they cluster by repository, stars and licenses, where they draw, and which events they hook.
- 02What mods actually touchAccess scope seen through a source scan of the 1,488 mods that passed validation without warnings. We sorted out where the 594 that run processes, the 474 that see every prompt, and the 195 that make outside requests reach.
- 03Mods that fail validationWe split the 47 failures among the catalog's 1,919 entries by cause and read the actual text of the 252 warnings and 184 control-character warnings. A checklist for authors to avoid them is included.
- 04Usage and context mods comparedI read the source of seven mods that show 5-hour and weekly limits and context usage. This page lays out where each number comes from, how often it refreshes, whether it calls a model, and what it blocks, then gives criteria for choosing.
